1939 30’ GulfWeed Ketch $5000 (Seattle WA)
1939 30’ GulfWeed Ketch
Project Boat available.
Guys I'm selling this for the cost of the motor in it.
If no one takes this off my hands you will see a motor for sale
soon with some amazing port lights.
So much is new and rebuilt.
Work done by the Port Townsend Coop.
Designed by John Hanna
Mahogany on Oak with Teak decking and cockpit.
Classic Yacht built in 39’ in Port Townsend and a Northwest Classic.
Hard Chined Blue water sailing vessel that is smooth and steady sail
that can be handled by one well practiced sailor.
She is a rarity and unique piece of Northwest History that deserves
a good and loving new caretaker.
She needs the bow stem and a few ribs to be replaced up front
which is not a tough job with this boat’s design.
I’ve been quoted around $4500 for the work and could be done cheaper
if you are handy with wood in the least.
Personally I have around $50,000 into this boat but the
Pandemic has taken me to Graduate School
and I no longer have the time nor resources to properly care for her.
You will fall in love the moment you step aboard.
