25' dutch wooden sloop
Quest, built in Holland 1954
was brought to NYC for entry to a boat show and won the prize for “prettiest boat”.
This from the previous owner who, not the original owner, owned it for 20+ years.
I’ve owned it for 6, and want to find a new owner who appreciate the beauty of wooden boats.
After spending 3 seasons behind my house making repairs
deck restoration, varnishing al the brightwork,
replacing the diesel with a Yamaha 9.9 outboard that,
has an electric start, and also charges the battery,
is in great condition and drives the boat with ease.
I launched, used it for two season at a local dock on the Hudson river.
It's presently at a marina in Kingston, NY on jack stands,
ready to launch after the keel has its aluminum coat and the bottom paint.
The dock fee is paid up til October 2019.
I plan to do more crusing with a bigger, fiberglass boat
